A Real “Steal” chicken soup

Watched “Paranormal Activity 3″ yesterday and thanks to the guy who kept screaming, I screamed like a girl at a pitch black moment. Sigh… embracing (embarrassing)

Anyway, I’m here to blog about Real Steel. I’ve got 2 chicken soups to share, one from me and the other is from my fiancée which I think was pretty cool as well.

Here’s mine: The Lord fights your battle.

How did I get that? Well, the kid was kinda annoying.. hehe.. but he did grab my attention when he said to his dad “I want you to fight for me. That’s all I’ve ever wanted

Well you see, I, maybe all of us, have this automatic respond to things whether it may be a task, a challenge, an obstacle in the way and have the D.I.Y (Do It Yourself) mentality, not wanting anybody (including God) to help us out, PERIOD.

We are the complete opposite of the “father and son” represented in the movie.

The son (Real Steel) wants the father to fight for him, WE, on the other hand, don’t want to allow our Father to fights for us.
Our Father wants to fight our battles, the father(Real Steel) didn’t want to fight for his son.

Yes, we don’t need help at times but we have to admit we need help “sometimes”, especially those that we can’t handle.

Allow God to step in. He probably telling you this, “Sit down and chill. I’ll take it from here” =)

Exodus 14: 14
The Lord shall fight for you and you shall hold your peace

Here’s my fiancée’s: Childlike faith. Something that we lost along the way.

She is amazed with the kind of faith the son has.

The robot he possessed was an old school sparring robot that was designed to take hits but not really hitting. Though everybody sees that the robot can’t go too far, he sees that the robot has what it takes to go really far.

Mark 10: 13 -15
13 And they were bringing children to Him so that He might touch them; but the disciples rebuked them. 14 But when Jesus saw this, He was indignant and said to them, “Permit the children to come to Me; do not hinder them; for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. 15 “Truly I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God like a child will not enter it at all.”

In our journey with God, we grow too fast in our relationship with Him that we forget how it feels like to be a child. Believing seems so hard, faith slowly becomes weak, reaching out seems to be a difficult task. What happened along the way?

As I look at myself now and look back, I must say that my level of faith was stronger back then.

This movie made me realize that I grew up too fast and that I need to slow it down and bring out the child I once was, who just enjoys spending time with the Father, trusting and believing no mater what.

Well, that’s it from me.

Friends, if you haven’t seen the movie yet, go watch it NOW! You are in for a treat =)
